Post-surgery thoughts

I thought this post would be a list of 10 or so things that I learned during this week after Kevin's surgery. It felt like I was learning something new every day. But when I started to make the list, I realized there were really only two lessons; I was just learning them over and over and over.

The third lesson was actually only on day one, but I think we can all agree it is pretty important.

Lesson 1. Kevin does more cleaning on one foot than I do on two.

Lesson 2. Life can be really overwhelming. I am so thankful for how much of that burden Kevin carries for me.

Lesson 3. "If I don't make it through this" is something that should never be said before even the simplest of surgery. It is never funny. Ever!
