The Kansas State Fair is everything I hate

For starters...

1. It's outside.
2. There are hundreds and hundreds of animals.
3. There are thousands and thousands of people.
4. It's not TV.

But I just love the fair. I think it provides nostalgia like nothing else can. Kevin and I have been taking the kids every year for as long as I can remember. We have established state fair traditions.

1. Animals first, then buildings, then rides
2. We eat supper at the beer garden (Oddly, Charley started this one.)
3. We always get ice cream at the Dairy Bar under the grandstand.
4. Ye Old Mill is the very last thing we do. It is a great way to end the day.

We went to the fair on a very wet Saturday. It wasn't ideal, but I'll take damp over Africa-hot any year. Despite some glaring photos, I believe fun was had by all.

I think if you click on the picture it will move to the next.
