Communication Week

(I still cannot figure out how to fix the color on my blog. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to get rid of the gold? It is not selected on my layout, so I cannot de-select it.)


This week is Communication Week at WSU, which is put on by the Elliott School of Communication.

I have big love for Communication Week.

I like being around other people who have a communication slant, and I especially like hearing from the pros.

My plan is to attend no fewer than four events.

I am going to listen to panelists speak about social media, soft skills employers seek, how to improve my writing and secrecy in government. I would like to attend all of them, but I still have to squeeze in 20 hours of work.

In two weeks, I get to attend a one-day conference about copy editing. I suspect this is comparable to dental work for most people, but I am super excited.

I love to fill my time with rules about writing. It increases my chances of always getting it right.
