Powerful images

Kevin and I took vacation days Thursday and Friday to watch the opening rounds of the NCAA tournament.

For once, we wanted to see ALL the games. Keep up on ALL the scores. Not just get bits and pieces throughout our work days.

But with all the games come ALL the commercials.

Most of them are boring or obnoxious, and they're all being aired much too much.

But there is one highlight in these relentless waves of advertising.

It's the little Subaru girl.



It's the way she says, "Daddy, OK..." that gets me every single time.

As a mother, I've heard that impatient tone dozens upon dozens of times.

And it sounds JUST like that.

And it's adorable.

And they do grow up too soon.
