(After I wrote this update I thought it was much, much too long for anyone to digest in one setting, so I'm breaking it up over a couple of days. You're welcome.)
Do you think it would be terribly annoying to start every blog post from now to eternity with "On..."? I hope not because it's so easy and I kind of dig it.
So what's new with you?
Not all that much is happening here, but here's the rundown in no order of importance or date.
Have I mentioned that I'm splitting a CSA share with my friend Amy? I am and it's awesome. It's all produce all of the time around here these days. Beets, spinach, lettuce mix, radishes, bok choy, carrots, tomatoes, spring onions, collards, snow peas, kohlrabi, chives and there's probably even more.
Today ends my month-long trial of going vegan. Although it went so well that I haven't decided if I'm going to keep it or go back to fish and dairy. Part of me wants to do vegan + fish just like I was doing vegetarian + fish, but I'm not sure. Giving up the dairy was the easiest part for sure. I also could do vegan + fish-only-in-restaurants because that is when things get REAL. The most important thing I've learned is that there is milk in salt & vinegar potato chips. DAMN it. Also, the #6 at Jimmy Johns sans cheese and mayo is still pretty tasty. So tasty I still had three of them in May. Good Lord.
I bought my current running shoes on 9/25/2011 and I put the 300th mile on them this morning. I wish I started keeping track of mileage when I started running nearly a year ago, but I didn't. I don't have a race on my calendar or any new goal to set. I'm just keeping a 3-miles-4-times-a-week practice going. We'll see what happens next.
I haven't progressed with any plans on the party I was going to have, so don't feel bad that you weren't invited. Nobody's been invited! We may now wait until the fall.
