Remember that book I was reading?
A Widow's Story by Joyce Carol Oates
Oy.
I should have read it quickly like ripping off a band-aid, but I didn't. I stretched it out over days and weeks. It felt like I was in mourning with her the entire time.
It was just too long to sit with a woman who was so sad.
So I returned it to the library without finishing it.
I just don't want to read about death for awhile.
