On writing

So I think I've mentioned a time or two or a hundred about how I miss writing.

I don't write here.
I don't write at work.
I don't write.

At least I still keep keen on the rules of writing in my editing and web producing roles at work.

But I don't create. I don't craft stories. I don't get the perfect quote.

Last week, I went with one of our reporters on an interview. I was there to get some photos. It was fun. It was interesting. It reminded me I'm not a journalist.

I'm not exactly sure how to reconcile this thing that's missing. I do love my job, but I need to be able to ramp up the creative output somewhere.

Don't say freelance because I am NOT doing it.
