Last year, Wichita brought a new marathon to town.
It's called the Prairie Fire, which might be the best name ever for anything.
Along with the marathon race, it also features a half marathon and 5K.
Registration is now open, but I hadn't been paying that much attention until I saw something on Twitter about GoRun Wichita offering a really cheap training program for both the half and full marathon.
So I clicked on the link and got a few more details.
Ever since that click, I haven't stopped thinking and wondering about it.
Could I run 13.1 miles?
Do I want to run 13.1 miles?
Should I run 13.1 miles?
I don't know.
The first meeting at GoRun is this Wednesday. That's the deadline to register for the program. Without that training, I'm not doing it.
So.
Right now it feels like I'm standing in a long line for a really scary roller coaster. I'm nervous. I don't know exactly what to expect. I'm not sure if I should be in this line. I kind of want to jump the fence.
On Wednesday, it's going to be time to get on the ride and buckle up.
Or take the chicken exit.
